I. How to Take the Test
- A parent or teacher should supervise the test.
- Time Limit: 1 Hour
- A calculator can only be used on #14
- No help from a parent or teacher.
- The student should show all work on a separate piece of paper.
II. Print: Placement Test for Algebra 2
III. Use the Answer Key at the end of the Placement Test to grade it
- Each question is worth 5 points.
- Compare the student's handwritten work to the solutions.

Scored 80 or Higher: Ready for Shormann Algbera 2 with Integrated Geometry
Scored 70–79:

- Good or Strong Math Students Who Have NOT Taken 1/2+ Geometry and earned a 70-79 on the Placement Test, are not ready for Algebra 2. Please see Dr. Shormann's Recommendation: My Student Completed Algebra 1 but has not had 1/2 Geometry
- Good or Strong Math Students Who Have Taken 1/2+ Geometry and earned 70-79 on the Placement Test, can learn the missed concepts in the review lessons of Shormann Algebra 2. This student is ready for Shormann Algbera 2 with Integrated Geometry
- Reluctant or Struggling Math Students: These students should take Shormann Algebra 1 with Integrated Geometry.
- Good or Strong Math Students Who Have NOT Taken 1/2+ Geometry and earned a 70-79 on the Placement Test, are not ready for Algebra 2. Please see Dr. Shormann's Recommendation: My Student Completed Algebra 1 but has not had 1/2 Geometry
Scored 69 or Less: Student is not ready for Shormann Algebra 2. See Dr. Shormann's Recommendation
