Instructions for Precalculus Placement Test

I. Parents, Read this first:

1. This placement test is not a year-end test. It is for new students only. If your student successfully completed Shormann Algebra 2 or  Saxon Algebra 2, Second & Third Edition they are ready for Shormann Precalculus with Trigonometry.
   
   

2. A parent or teacher should supervise the test. 

3. Time Limit: 1 Hour

4. No calculator and no help from a parent or teacher.

5. The student should show all work on a separate piece of paper.
   
   

II. Print the Test: Placement Test for Precalculus

III. Use the Answer Key at the end of the Placement Test to grade it.


IV. Placement Guide:

• 6 or fewer correct, take the Placement Test for Algebra 2
  
  
• 7+ correct, ready for Shormann Precalculus with Trigonometry or take the Placement Test for Shormann Calculus 1.
