A Subject Transcript lists courses by subject, instead of by year (standard transcript). This type of transcript makes it easy for college scholarship and admissions personnel to quickly see all the courses completed in each subject.
While a transcript is important, the primary criteria for college admissions for homeschool students is usually PSAT, SAT, and ACT scores. The math sections are 1/4 to 1/2 of the exam scores. If a student is denied admission, it is almost always due to a low score on the math section of these exams. I cannot overemphasize the importance of using a good math curriculum that develops fluency in both algebra and geometry and teaches all the concepts on the ACT and redesigned PSAT and SAT.
