Standard Transcripts

If possible, we recommend using the Subject Transcript format which lists the credits by subject, like Math, Science, etc. However, some colleges require the Standard Transcript format, which lists credits by grade level.

While a transcript is important, the primary criteria for college admissions for homeschool students is usually PSAT, SAT, and ACT scores. If a student is denied admission, it is almost always due to a low score on the math section of these exams. The math sections are 1/4 to 1/2 of the exam scores.  I cannot overemphasize the importance of using a good math curriculum that develops fluency in both algebra and geometry and teaches all the concepts on the ACT and redesigned PSAT and SAT. Learn More: PSAT, SAT, and ACT Prep
