Has the student taken Integrated Chemistry & Physics (ICP) or Physical Science*?
DIVE ICP, Bob Jones Physical Science (all editions), and Abeka Science and Matter are Integrated Chemistry & Physics courses. Apologia Physical Science and textbooks that include earth and space science do not meet the criteria for an ICP course
*ICP is similar to a physical science course except it has one full semester of Introductory Chemistry and one full semester of Introductory Physics. It does not have earth or space concepts that water down the chemistry & physics needed to learn upper level science. If your student had a physical science course that included earth and space science, we recommend DIVE ICP using the Accelerated Schedule to fill any gaps before taking Biology. If your student plans to take the AP Biology exam, taking DIVE ICP using the Accelerated Schedule is required.
