Instructions For ALL Other Curriculum Users:
- Students should be supervised during the test.
- No calculator, coaching, or other assistance is allowed.
- The student should show all their work on a separate piece of paper.
- Print or view the test online: Pre-Algebra Placement Test
Grading: Use the answer key at the end of the placement test. Look over the student's handwritten work carefully.

6th Grade & Under: See Placement Guide
7th Grade & Up:
- Scored 70% or Higher: If the student is in 7th grade or higher, they are ready for Shormann Pre-Algebra.
- Less than 70%:
- 7th Grade & Up: Good math students in 7th grade or higher should still be ready for Pre-Algebra. However, if the student scored less than 70%, they have some gaps. These gaps can be filled using Shormann Pre-Algebra, but it may take longer to complete the course.
- All Others: Take the 4th–8th Grade Placement Test
