CLEP Professor for Precalculus
“Hi, I just wanted to thank you for providing such an excellent product. My son just graduated this past spring. We were surprised to learn at his college orientation that he needed college pre-calculus before he could begin working on his major (Computer Science). Since it was too late to sign up for a summer class he decided to Clep the exam. He had just finished high school pre- calculus and along with your course he scored a 68 on the exam and will be starting Engineering Calculus 1 with the rest of the freshman class! Thanks again." ~ The M Family
"Dear Dr. Shormann,
On behalf of my kids, we want to thank you for creating the CLEP Professor and other videos. My oldest daughter has taken the College Algebra and received college credit. She took it along side her first semester of precalculus and mentioned that it also helped her with the class. Now she is excited to take the Precalc CLEP after she finished the class this spring. She would have loved to have DIVE prep for College Mathematics, but she took the CLEP and passed gaining more credit. We have also used
the DIVE Biology and loved it. Thanks so much." ~ Kristie
“Hello! We wanted to share with you the joy we had when opening the results of my son's AP Physics B Exam. He received a four out of a possible five. His junior year was a year of diligent study for him. The only materials he used were your Saxon + DIVE + CLEP Professor Physics. Thank you for your wonderful course! He will continue his studies in Calculus and Physics as you recommended below for his upcoming Senior year. Thanks again! "Dr. Shormann and CLEP Professor for Precalculus does it again for son, Nick! Just returned from Austin Peay State University with a completed/passed CLEP Precalculus test with points to spare. That's a total of 7 college Math credits since September...couldn't do it without you, Doc!!! On to Calculus after a day off tomorrow. Not bad for a 14 year old!" ~ PS

“My thirteen-year-old got a 69 with this!
My son used this before Christmas after completing his Algebra II book. The diagnostic test was very helpful. He missed half of it and then started watching the videos for the sections that he missed. After one week with CLEP professor, he took the CLEP exam and scored a 69. He felt well prepared for the test and is looking forward to using the Pre-Calculus CLEP Professor after he finishes his Pre-Calculus book." ~ Suellen

"Elias passed the CLEP College Algebra exam with a score of 69 this morning. Thank you again for all you do. " ~ Peace of Christ, Mrs. I.
“I was homeschooled through high school, using many of your DIVE products and really enjoyed them. They helped me to excel in math and science and earn several college credits by passing AP exams. After completing Saxon Calculus, I started doing math tutoring for some homeschool families in my area. Currently, I am getting ready to start teaching middle and high school math classes." ~ Thanks, NK

"I love the DIVE programs! My Uncle is a aeronautical engineer for Exotic Metals and he would always have to help me with my high school math problems. Now, with the DIVE series it's just like having him there, walking me through each problem step-by-step! There's no short hand equations which is great, because you don't have to go through the book and find out where all these imaginary numbers are being pulled. And, it gives you a detailed explanation on how to work each problem so that way you fully understand each formula. I highly recommend doing Algebra 2 before going into this College Algebra. It helps make things more understandable if you have some previous knowledge on the equations. I'm planning on taking the CLEP exam ASAP after I'm done with this CD. I really like having the option to receive college credit before I actually attend. Homeschoolers didn't have that option until now, and this CD will save you alot of time and effort trying to select a good preparatory book. :)" ~ Cecelia
“I highly recommend DIVE Science. The DIVE courses are written with the AP and CLEP in mind. My daughter finally made the switch as a senior and wished she would done it sooner. She felt it prepared her to get an A for her two semesters in Anatomy and Physiology. And gave her what she needs to be a 4.0 nursing BSN student. My son who is a national merit finalist was stuck in apologia chemistry until we switched to BJU with DIVE. He also did all the Physics APs. (He did two additional semesters in high school, because he had the time of MIT free online physics, which Dr. Shormann recommended to us.) He felt this prepared him for the rigors of his electrical engineering program. He is also a 4.0 engineering student. These programs in high school really turned things around for them in science. They are both majoring in heavily technical/scientific fields. Here is the proof in the pudding scores, Chemistry 4/5 AP, Biology CLEP 70's, Physics B and both C exams a 5/5. BTW my daughter who did the Chemistry AP without DIVE and just Apologia got a 3/5. As you can see now as a Junior in college with a 4.0 she had more potential than what just the Apologia could give her. Loved Apologia in the younger years, but in our family it didn't make the cut for high school." ~ Lisa C.

“My 14yr old son just finished high school Algebra 2 and wanted to CLEP College Algebra. He watched this program and took their 3 tests. It was very helpful in focusing him in what to study. The CLEP Professor also helped when he took the 3 tests and had the explanations to his incorrect answers. Before watching the CLEP Professor he received a 25 on the pretest the CLEP Professor gave. After using this he received a 62 on the practice test. He then practiced the Peterson clep tests which did have a few more items that were not covered on the CLEP Professor and received an 82. He went for the actual exam and received a 55. He passed. There were items on the actual exam that were not covered on both the CLEP Professor and the Peterson test.” ~ J. S.

“When the CLEP administrator at my institution informed me that no one he had ever given the chemistry CLEP to had passed, I decided to take the preparation very seriously. I began researching how other people had passed the test and ordered several materials. After 8+ years of no chemistry, my chemistry knowledge was not very good, so I had to prepare more than someone who just finished a high school chem or college intro chem course. If you are starting from scratch or just want to make sure you pass this test, then this is what I would recommend. Begin with the Wiley, "Chemistry Concepts and Problems: A Self Teaching Guide." This book is written in a continuous question and answer format that reviews and tests your knowledge to build a strong foundation of chemistry knowledge and problem solving. Then simultaneously study REA's "CLEP Chemistry," by Peel (I strongly recommend getting the book and CD with two practice tests included) with the Chemistry CLEP Professor software. You will find the REA book to be very summarized. I bought that first and felt like I needed more help. I found the CLEP Professor and gave it a try. My comprehension and retention immediately began skyrocketing, in addition to my practice test scores! The CLEP Professor follows the exact format and order of information of the book, but fills in a lot of the gaps. You may opt to purchase a general chemistry textbook to look up additional information on specific questions, but I would not recommend studying it alone to pass. There is too much information not focused for the CLEP exam that will make you forget what you need to know. You can also research anything you need to know more about online making the textbook unnecessary. I would recommend at least one month to go through these three materials. You should plan to spend about two weeks on the Wiley Self Study and two weeks on the CLEP professor and REA book together. That will give you 6 practice tests to work on. I recommend taking one practice test while you are studying the last two materials every other day. This will show you what you are learning and what you need to learn. Spend one month and about a total of $150 and you can save two semesters of time and about $2000. You should pass easily if you follow the three steps of this program: 1-Wiley Self-Teaching Guide, 2-CLEP Professor and REA CLEP Chemistry, 3-Take practice tests and look up material you are unfamiliar with. I hope you do well.” ~ J. Stormer

"I wanted to let you know that T, who is 16, received a 4 on the AP Physics exam. This score is awarded eight credits at Texas A&M. All he had time to use was the DIVE/Saxon Physics and CLEP Professor for AP Physics. He is so excited! Thank you for creating these tools. We really appreciate all you do to help our students excel in math and science."
"I highly recommend DIVE as well with the BJU text (although you can use Abeka, Apologia or the Internet) for Chemistry AP, Biology CLEP and Physics AP. We followed up with CLEP Professor from Dr. Shormann also. He gets the AP and CLEP released exams to make this. My kids said some of the same questions were on the exam!"

We just completed the CLEP for College Algebra, and our son Nick passed the exam at the State University near us with 16 points to spare! Thank you Dr. Shormann for your great CDs. We have used them for all Nick's HS Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics with great success. Tomorrow our son will start the review of College Pre-Calculus with your CD. We recommend these to all users out there. As always, Dr. S., you have done a great job!" ~ PS

"Great program!
I was so happy to find a program that went through what my child had learned in Saxon Alg 1 & 2. The best parts were the diagnostic test and practice tests that gave them a feel of how the real test worked. Thanks to this and Clep Chemistry through Dive my 13 year old was able to get 11 college credits!"

"Passed with flying colors!
My 9th grader took DIVE's Algebra II and then spent about 2.5 weeks reviewing for the CLEP exam with DIVE's CLEP Professor (not as much review needed, I think, with Saxon courses b/c the course itself has a lot of review built in). He took 2 practice exams at home before taking the exam itself at a local community college. He scored a 74, where 50 is passing and 80 is the high score. Very pleased!" ~ Rachel

"I passed the CLEP test with a score of 74 out of 80!
I have used Dr. Shormann's products before and loved them. I went through Saxon Algebra 2 over seven years ago, thus I was very rusty and this was just what I needed to refresh me.The lessons are very informative and easy to understand. Going through this program gave me confidence when taking the test. The practice exams were helpful to help gauge time limits and get used to the pressure. I did have a few questions on the practice exams that had errors, such as, asking me to examine a graph to produce an answer but the graph was not visible. Overall this is a very good preparation tool." ~ Israel Mahoney
