Instructions for Calculus I Placement Test

I. Parents, Read this first:

1. This placement test is not a year-end test. It is for new students only. If your student successfully completed Shormann Precalculus or  Saxon Advanced Math, Second Edition they are ready for Shormann Calculus I.
   
   

2. A parent or teacher should supervise the test. 

3. Time Limit: 1 Hour

4. No calculator and no help from a parent or teacher.

5. The student should show all work on a separate piece of paper.
   
   

II. Print the Test: Placement Test for Calculus I

III. Use the Answer Key at the end of the Placement Test to grade it.


IV. Placement Guide:

• 8 or fewer correct, take the Placement Test for Precalculus
  
  
• 9+ correct, ready for Shormann Calculus I.
